QUEER MUSLIM SUPPORT CIRCLE

A monthly community space for connection, reflection, and belonging.

Season Runs September through May | 12 Virtual Gatherings | Non-Clinical Allied Facilitated Space

You don’t have to carry the weight of two worlds alone.

Navigating the intersection of being queer and Muslim often feels like a constant balancing act. You may find yourself holding back parts of your identity depending on whose room you’re standing in—censoring your truth around family or community, while explaining your culture and background in predominantly Western LGBTQIA+ spaces.

Carrying secrecy, hyper-vigilance, or isolation takes a heavy toll. You might frequently ask yourself: Is there anywhere I can just show up as my whole, unedited self?

The Queer Muslim Support Circle is built to be that space.

This is a non-clinical space for peer-to-peer connection, held by an allied facilitator designed for LGBTQIA+ Muslims in their 20s and 30s. It is a place to drop your guard, build real relationships, share the weight of hard seasons, and have the opportunity to show up authentically.

What This Space Is (And What It Isn’t)

To protect the safety and integrity of the circle, our intentions are clear:

  • It IS a community sanctuary: A relational, structured peer support group focused on mutual care, shared stories, and deep connection.

  • It IS inclusive of all spiritual paths: Whether you are deeply connected to Islam, questioning, unlearning, culturally Muslim, or navigating a complex relationship with faith—you are welcome here.

  • It IS NOT therapy: This group is a psychoeducational and supportive space facilitated by an allied professional, not a clinical treatment group or psychotherapy practice.

  • It IS NOT a debate floor: We do not impose religious beliefs or debate anyone’s right to exist. We honor where you are on your journey.

What to Expect During Our 9-Month Season

Our group operates as an intentional cohort from September through May, meeting 12 times total (approximately 1–2 times per month for 75 minutes).

Each session is crafted with a balanced mix of structured reflection and open community discussion.

Investment & Relational Sliding Scale

The group operates on a 3-tier relational payment model charged as a monthly subscription for the 9-month season (September–May). Choose the tier that best reflects your current financial capacity:

Tier Monthly Fee Total Season Investment Best Suited For
Being Held by the Community $15 / mo $135 total ($11.25/meeting) Select this if paying standard rates would compromise your basic living needs or cause significant stress.
Sustaining the Community $35 / mo $315 total ($26.25/meeting) Select this if you have stable income, can meet your daily needs comfortably, and want to support the true cost of your spot.
Uplifting the Community $55 / mo $495 ($41.25/meeting) Select this if you have financial security or access to disposable income, and want to subsidize access for a peer.

Subscriptions automatically expire at the end of May. You may pause or cancel at any time.

Meet Your facilitator

HI, I’M MONA GHOSHEH (SHE/HER)

As a Palestinian, Arab-American woman who grew up Muslim, I bring deep cultural fluency, spiritual understanding, and 10 years of group facilitation experience. While I do not identify as queer myself, I am deeply committed to providing a safe, affirming container where LGBTQIA+ Muslims can connect, share wisdom, and build community with one another.

While I am a licensed psychologist by trade, I facilitate this circle as a non-clinical community space—holding the container so you can build real, lasting connections with peers who truly understand.
